What’s Next for Georgia Square Mall?

The future of Georgia Square Mall has generated many questions, concerns, and conversations throughout the Athens community. Residents are invited to attend a District 6 Town Hall to hear the latest redevelopment updates directly from those involved in the project.

Representatives scheduled to participate include mall developer Mark Jennings, Bruce Lonnee with the Athens Clarke County Planning Department, and Jon Williams with W&A Engineering. They will provide updates regarding the redevelopment proposal and discuss what may be ahead for the Georgia Square Mall property.

A community question and answer session will also be held, giving residents an opportunity to ask questions, express concerns, and learn more about the plans being considered.
